How to read this page
Every number is over Big 12 Conference programs whose 2025–26 roster lists at least 8 players. "Avg height" is over players with a listed height; "Freshmen" over players with a readable class label; "New this season" is the share of players not on the same program's 2024–25 roster, at programs listed at strength in both seasons; "In-state" and "Outside the US" are over players with a home on record.
A conference-level measure is shown only when 30 players carry the fact behind it, a program-level one when 8 do — a dash is a cell under the floor, not a zero. The Division I figures are pooled over every Division I program at strength, the same rule the conferences-compared page uses.
What this means for a recruit looking at the Big 12
How to read itThis conference recruits about as locally as its division.
21% of its players list the college's own state, and Texas alone supplies 16%. A recruit outside those states is competing against a wider field for the same spots.
Rosters here are rebuilt more than most.
69% of 2025–26 players were not on the same program's roster the season before. The program table shows which rosters turned over most — those are the programs with spots to fill.
Height differences between conferences are real but small next to the level.
0.6 inches separates the Big 12 from the Division I average. Pick the level first, then the conference; the program pages carry each roster's own numbers.
